Styrke (D, PWR eller SPH)	Power is the strenght of your contact lens, and is a number between -25 and +25 (e.g. -1.50 or -1,75 or +1.00 or +2.50, etc.) Power is also called ”Pwr”, ”D”(diopters), ”Strenght” or ”SPH” (sphere) in the prescription or on the contact lens box. In your prescription, ”OS” = Your left eye and ”OD” = Your right eye. OU = Both eyes (your eyes have exactly the same parameter) --> If you are nearsighted (can see only near objects well) then select MINUS powers. --> If you are farsighted (can see only distant objects well) then select PLUS powers. Note, the power of the contact lenses is generally not the same power as in your eyeglass prescription.
Baskurve (BC)	Base Curve (a number between 8.0 and 10.0). This is the inside curve of your contact lens (e.g., 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, etc.). Base Curve is often written as ”BC” or ”BOZR” in your prescription or on the contact lens box. Many contact lenses come in only one base curve, many others in only two base curves, some come in multiple base curves so care must be taken when ordering. If your box or prescription says MEDIAN instead of a number for base curve choose 8.5, 8.6 or 8.7 only.

Rose K2 IC (IC = irregular corneas) - a keratoconus contact lens specifically for irregular corneas (lens for larger areas of corneal distortion) from the manufacturer Menicon.

This lens design can be used on irregular corneas for which other designs have failed. It has a larger overall diameter, uses the same systematic adaptation approach as the Rose K2 design and has secondary applications for nipple cones and ovals.

About the Rose K2 lens:

The ROSE K2 keratoconus lens design is the most prescribed RGP keratoconus lens in the world.
It is a multi-spherical posterior design with aberration-controlling aspheric optics in the posterior and anterior optical zone diameters and is available in any toric lens design.

Unlike traditional contact lenses, the complex geometry incorporated into each Rose K contact lens closely mimics the conical shape of the cornea at each stage of the disease. The result is a more comfortable fitting lens for patients and improved vision (visual acuity).
