Styrke (D, PWR eller SPH)	Power is the strenght of your contact lens, and is a number between -25 and +25 (e.g. -1.50 or -1,75 or +1.00 or +2.50, etc.) Power is also called ”Pwr”, ”D”(diopters), ”Strenght” or ”SPH” (sphere) in the prescription or on the contact lens box. In your prescription, ”OS” = Your left eye and ”OD” = Your right eye. OU = Both eyes (your eyes have exactly the same parameter) --> If you are nearsighted (can see only near objects well) then select MINUS powers. --> If you are farsighted (can see only distant objects well) then select PLUS powers. Note, the power of the contact lenses is generally not the same power as in your eyeglass prescription.
Baskurve (BC)	Base Curve (a number between 8.0 and 10.0). This is the inside curve of your contact lens (e.g., 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, etc.). Base Curve is often written as ”BC” or ”BOZR” in your prescription or on the contact lens box. Many contact lenses come in only one base curve, many others in only two base curves, some come in multiple base curves so care must be taken when ordering. If your box or prescription says MEDIAN instead of a number for base curve choose 8.5, 8.6 or 8.7 only.

The Menicon B4PM lens is a rigid contact lens for correction of myopic and hyperopic patients with keratoconus.

Menicon B4PM contact lenses are indicated for off-center keratoconus and irregular astigmatism, and post refractive surgery.

This lens is available in 2 materials: Menicon Z (Tisilfocon A, UV protection and Dk value: 163) or Menicon EX (Tolofocon A, Dk value: 64)

(Dk value is a measure of the oxygen permeability. Materials with a high Dk transmit more oxygen to the eye than those with a low Dk value.)

This rigid lens is highly permeable to oxygen which helps ensure safe wearing for the eye.

The Menicon B4PM made with material "Menicon Z" has a UV filter to protect the eye from harmful rays.

The lens is delivered with a light blue tint (to help find the lens in the lens case).

Replacement: 1-2 years (follow the recommendation from your eye care professional)
